Il y a des collections qui naissent d’un mot, d’un mythe, d’une image, d’une sensation, d’un souvenir…
Quand je commence la construction d’un univers, ce sont souvent, d’abord, des sensations, des images, des couleurs qui apparaissent. Des fragments épars – un coquillage nacré au multiples couleurs, la fluidité d’une chevelure sous l’eau, un reflet doré et scintillant sur la surface calme de la mer. L’imaginaire se déploie un peu plus chaque jour, en me focalisant sur les ressentis que j’aimerais raconter. Puis peu à peu il prend corps, d’une histoire morcelée, où chaque inspiration apparait – et se relie à une autre – jusqu’à s’unir en une même collection.
Avec cette collection, j’avance vers une atmosphère à la fois mystique et raffinée. Le fait d’être en été m’aide beaucoup – j’explore ce qui m’appelle, ce qui m’invite en temps réel – c’est nourrissant.
Puis, ces contrastes coexistants en nous, qui me fascinent tant – entre la puissance et la tendresse, le mouvement et la constance, le mystère et la clarté. Cet équilibre sensible en est devenu le fil conducteur de ma recherche. Tellement propice, pour ce qu’il est de raconter la mer et les océans.

À cette étape, la trame de fond se dessine, la structure se pose – comme une voile que l’on hisse pour donner direction à l’exploration.
Des images et des mots apparaissent, premiers repères qui orientent mes recherches.
J’ai réalisé deux planches de tendances : l’une nourrie de références visuelles inspirées de l’art et son histoire, l’autre plus intuitive, guidée par le ressenti et déjà teintée des premières couleurs que j’imagine.
Ensuite, la liste de mots – dont certains seront développés par la suite – en croquis.
J’aime avancer ainsi, pas à pas, et laisser émerger l’univers. Dessiner une poésie, la déployer en images – pour qu’un jour, elle trouve place et résonance dans nos quotidiens.

Ce qui me touche toujours dans ce processus, c’est la manière dont l’imaginaire devient peu à peu tangible. Les images, les couleurs, les symboles s’assemblent, racontent et ouvrent un espace sensible – une invitation à voir et ressentir autrement.
